Illegal Immigrant Murders Sheridan Gorman, but Chicago Mayor’s Concern Is with Safety of Illegals

Mayor Johnson sends message criminal illegals are at risk
Only about 10 days after the brutal and senseless murder of Chicago college student Sheridan Gorman, Mayor Brandon Johnson was heard expressing his fear illegal immigrants are feeling unsafe in Chicago.
Sadly, Johnson was seen once again bleating about the Trump administration's "assaults against immigrants" even after a Venezuelan illegal alien murdered an innocent white teen.
Johnson appeared on March 28 during the anti-American "No Kings" rally weekend in the Windy City and blasted the Trump administration for "assaulting" immigrants.
"We have [to] end the assaults against immigrants," Johnson exclaimed, according to WFLD-TV. "We have to get active. First of all, we have to make sure that we're participating in our democratic process. We've already seen election shift around this country, so things are happening. We have signed multiple executive orders to force ICE out of the city of Chicago."
He then showed but hollow sympathy for Gorman and continued to use her brutal murder for his wild-eyed, anti-Trump political agenda.
"I will again acknowledge the tragedy of the loss of life here," Johnson said offhandedly. "You know, look, burying a child is something that no parent should have to do, especially as someone who is a parent. The tragedy that occurred is one that, quite frankly — it challenges us to do better to ensure that we are protecting people — and you know, as far as the call for no kings, what I said, and I still stand by this, that we do have to protect working people. We do have to ensure that the immigrant community is not being assaulted."
"Violating people's Constitutional rights does not make us safer," he exclaimed. Not that illegal aliens have Constitutional rights, mind you.
Sadly, this is typical of Johnson's habit of sticking up for criminal illegals, even when they are victimizing, raping, and murdering residents of his own city.
This outrageous support of criminals comes on the heels of the murder of 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman, a freshman at Loyola University Chicago, who was shot down by a 25-year-old Venezuelan illegal alien named Jose Medina-Medina on March 19. Gorman lost her life on the pier at Tobey Prinz Beach in Loyola Park.
According to Assistant State’s Attorney Mike Pekara, Gorman and a group of friends had gone to the pier for a fun night out when Medina began chasing them and threatening them with a gun. He then fired, striking Gorman in the back as she tried to run away from him, Block Club Chicago reported.
ICE officials say Medina was apprehended crossing the border on May 9, 2023, but was released into the U.S. under former President Joe Biden and former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ open door immigration policies.
Medina was also arrested in Chicago for shoplifting in 2023. Naturally, thanks to Johnson's sanctuary policies, he was never turned over to ICE after being apprehended by local authorities. Medina was free to prey on Americans and to terrorize Gorman and her group of friends.
Speaking of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in another example of his outrageous support for criminals, only days after Gorman was mercilessly gunned down by one of his illegal immigrants, Johnson was out celebrating the renaming of one of the city's snow removal trucks as "Abolish ICE."
Sheridan Gorman’s friends and family created a GoFundMe page to help cover her memorial service with anything lefrover to be funneled into a scholarship in her honor.
